Log Furniture FAQs

What is the best wood to use for log furniture?

That depends on personal taste more than anything. However, cedar is generally considered the best due to its natural resistance to changes in humidity and insect invasion.

Is outdoor log furniture best left unfinished?

The type of wood used for the furniture will have a lot to do with how often it should be refinished. Woods like pine and oak will undoubtedly need to be refinished from time to time, but cedar tends to require much less upkeep.

What tools do I need to assemble log furniture kits?

In most cases, a few simple tools such as a screw driver and a few Allen wrenches are all that is required. However, it is generally considered a good idea to double check with the manufacturer before purchasing a furniture kit.
